Preliminary 2003 PIDS release

Last update August 18, 2003

To try out the new PIDS models, please follow the following steps:

First, download the latest "unstable" GTX binary release from this page, as appropriate for your platform. (Note that if you're using Solaris, you will have to have gtk+ installed on your machine for it to work. This is the result of a bugfix involving static versus dynamic linking. We will very soon start bundling the gtk+ dynamic libs with the package to fix the problem for Solaris users without gtk+.)

If you wish to try regression testing as described in the file TESTING.txt supplied with the package, please do it now. For the moment the new PIDS models will break regressions. We will fix this promptly.

Now download the model files, the .tar.gz file for Unix or the .zip file for Windows. Expand this file in the "inputs" subdirectory of the directory in which your GTX executable is found.

Now run GTX, and go to File->Load Supplied->.gtx file, and load ortc.PIDS_HP.gtx, ortc.PIDS_LOP.gtx, or ortc.PIDS_LSTP.gtx .
